    1. I find the world that Robertson has created enjoyable to inhabit For me, that s what makes books like this enjoyable the plot is ok, the characters are sympathetic, etc etc but the world that they exist is a really fun place to spend time.

    2. Would be 3.5 if allowed half stars Outlaw is the first full book in Edward Robertson s Rebel Stars series Like most of the books from Robertson s The Breakers series Outlaw has two separate and distinct story lines that intersect in the book s final sections In Outlaw we meet up again with Rada, the star of the series short introductory novel Rebel , now Captain of her own ship in Tommen s fleet Rada is tasked with tracking down evidence of an alien ship that has been discovered in the solar sys [...]

    3. Humanity is space faring, but only within our own solar system Everything, human or machine, sent to beyond vanishes without a trace Jain has been investigating this mystery and is on to something but before she can divulge her discovery she is murdered.Rada and Simm, operatives for a rival corporation are determined to find why and by whom, with the help of some space pirates, a sort of think tank called Lords of the True Realm and Jain s son who faked his own death Outlaw is basically a murder [...]

    4. Edward W Robertson is fast becoming my favorite writer I loved his Cutting Room series so much that I began the Breakers series and I loved that so much that I started the Rebel Stars series. If you re considering this book based on reviews, please note Rebel Rebel Stars 0 comes before this book.I love how this book seems to integrate ideas that Robertson has toyed with before, like the drones and tech elements from the Cutting Room and he sets this narrative firmly in the Breakers universe with [...]

    5. Another space opera taking place entirely with the solar system There are aliens, but this book doesn t deal with them even though the attacked Earth in the back story There is skulduggery around new space technology, powerful corporation, pirates and so forth This is the second book in a series, but stands quite well on its own.My rating system star 1 couldn t finish book2 finished book, but didn t like it3 a good read4 a very good read often with a novel concept or unusual plot5 an exceptional [...]

    6. This was quite a surprise I was all I m bored what does Kindle Unlimited have that looks good but will end up being a disappointment , so I picked this. And it did look good But it wasn t a disappointment, much to my surprise It s quick, it s shallow in spots, but the story is interesting if not very original , and the characters are surprisingly personable It s not top talent sci fi by any means, but for what it is, it s good I ll certainly read of the series as it comes along.

    7. Good read, fast actionMr Robertson keeps the action going from the first book, Rebels, the cast is entertaining and keeps you turning pages The central character keeps the theme together and causes the reader to keep turning pages Rada is endearing in here relationships and provides a humanity to the tough exterior of a warrior and star pilot.

    8. Very enjoyable tale, but I did feel a little cheated by the ending of the antagonist It was too much of a bud DIP dup CHING as in went way too fast to be satisfying closure The rest of the characters were enjoyable enough to convince me to grab book 2.

    9. It never goes the way it should, does it It s always less than Disappointment Heartbreak Maybe the problem isn t with the world but in ourselves Always wanting than we expect to get Good enough read, will probably read the prequel and sequels.

    10. Another Great SeriesThe future of humans after the Swimmer s Plague has hope Great character development Nice job of tying several story threads together Human greed still survives to the detriment of the humAn race Already poo purchased the second book in the series.

    11. Good start to a new series by the author of the Breakers series Set in a future far from the events of the Breakers, I enjoyed how little crumbs from the origins were intertwined in the story.Good characters, plenty of action, and an ending that allows for plenty of new stories.

    12. I took a while to get into the style as the perspective jumped around the different main characters in the first half of the book But once the storylines came together the pace really picked up As soon as I finished I wanted to read the next one.

    13. Yet again great story I could not stop reading this was a wonderful book I will recommend it to friends I know they will love it too

    14. Another solid story from Brandon Sanderson I m admittedly a bit disappointed how similar the characters and storyline is to the Breakers series, but maybe he will surprise me with the next book.

    15. Robertson is a rarity in that the books he writes in a series get better with each one I read the prequel Rebel first and I think it adds to the experience.

    16. Great read I thought the book was a very good read and as it picked up I found myself not being able to put it down Well I m off to the next one Good job Mr Robertson.

    17. This book is everything I expect from space SF And excellent connection to Breakers series Can t wait for next book
