    1. So now I ve read the second books in the series of Chess Team Adventure and The Event Group Adventure by David Golemon What I was trying to do was decide which of the two series I liked I like the Chess Team series because it reads a bit simpler, without a lot of technical technology No fillers to bore you to death, which was what the Event Group was doing half the time I loved this story because it had such a unique topic, neanderthals, evolving by kidnapping a human doctor who just happened [...]

    2. It s a good, fun, entertaining, engrossing action adventure Just didn t have that PUNCH that suck the breath right out of you and makes you submerged into the layers of the story without a care for the real world around you The main characters are great, all of them have distinctive voices and characteristics my personal favorites are Rook and Knight , with equal important parts to play in the story, the author juggled the characters impressively to give a perfect balance with all of them The ma [...]

    3. If you like thrillers original, unpredictable and chock full of action, you are going to love Jeremy Robinson s Chess Team INSTINCT riveted me to my chair Stephen Coonts, NY Times bestselling author of THE DISCIPLE and DEEP BLACK ARCTIC GOLD Robinson s slam bang second Chess Team thriller is a a wildly inventive yarn that reads as well on the page as it would play on a computer screen Publisher s Weekly Jeremy Robinson has done it again INSTINCT is a knock down, thought inducing, all out thrill [...]

    4. When the President of the United States falls victim to a weaponized amd contagious strain of a genetic disease one that kills its victims without warning or symptom Special Forces commander Jack King Sigler is on the case He and his team of highly trained operators have been assigned to protect a CDC detective as she journeys to the source of the new strain Vietnam s Annamite Mountains Surrounded by old landmines, harsh jungle terrain, and than one military force not happy about the return of [...]

    5. Instinct by Jeremy Robinson is the second book in his Chess Team adventure series Pulse was the first Fourteen years earlier cryptozoologist Dr Anthony Weston was attacked and disappeared in Vietnam s Annamite Mountains, the same area where a deadly plague, the Brugada syndrome, originated The Brugada Syndrome has been weaponized and the President of the United States has been infected The infection is on the brink of being released and would soon wipe out most of the human race unless a cure ca [...]

    6. This book wasn t as good as Pulse, but has glimpses of good writing The Chess Team goes through a lot in this one, just as they are always faced with, and get split up a lot I like this as the tension builds and the story progresses much quickly when there are multiple storylines going on at once This is where this book seems to be a little bit better than the first as in the first they were mostly together on the mission, if I remember correctly I also love how the team s characters get develo [...]

    7. The Chess Team are on a new mission to save the lives of the entire world.Nefarious villains seek to weoponise a virus that causes everyone particularly males to fall down dead where they stand Healthy people dropping to the ground in droves The Chess Team infiltrate a small village in Vietnam in search of the cure in the Annamite Mountains, but find instead the Volunteer Death Squad and odd bipedal life forms bent upon the destruction of humankind. Will they find the cure before the entire human [...]

    8. Jeremy Robinson is one of those authors who, simply put, writes books I want to read, and Instinct is no exception Instinct includes just about all the things I enjoy in a thriller an exotic setting, a compelling mystery, creepy creatures, and action galore Pulse was good, but Instinct is better Chess Team is carving out a niche for itself alongside the likes of the Event Group, Sigma Force, and NUMA If you like James Rollins, Michael Crichton, or Matthew Reilly, give Robinson a try You won t re [...]

    9. 10. This was another great Chess Team adventure It was fast paced from the start and it was great to revisit the Chess Team I liked the addition of Sarah to this story It was great to see a kick ass scientist assisting the team I am looking forward to the next book in the series

    11. This book literally had me up turning pages all night It s packed with action and high adventure The storyline was interesting if not bordering on the outlandish but I ve gotten good at suspending disbelief in favor of an exciting read This author does not disappoint More than once I asked myself how the Chess Team was going to get out of a particularly dire situation No spoilers but suffice it it say it was always a slam bang and usually unexpected solution I love these books and plan to pick u [...]

    12. I am really getting into this series I believe the characters are developing Each is written into branching scenarios which are entertaining, but manage to stay the course and merge back together into the primary narrative A few threads in the story kind of drop towards the end, such as the Death Volunteers leader Also, as with many of these types of novels, luck might as well have a shout out as well Overall, the novel is entertaining and magnetic pulling the reader back to the novel with its [...]

    13. a book this ridiculous can be fun if you approach it as a comedy there is violence and gore, but it s cartoon violence too over the top, and psychically impossible to be taken seriously until it turns dark and serious one torture scene too many and the over the top silliness gets down right stoopid it passed stupid, and digressed to stoopid the identity of deep blue was so jaw droppingly asinine it left me gobsmacked is that supposed to be funny why would you write something so idiotic this book [...]

    14. A really exciting military sci fi adventure the Chess Team is back trying to prevent the end of mankind, by trying to find the cure for a virus that has an extra punch to it don t want to give away the specifics of the very interesting virus They go to Vietnam where they meet an army of, well I will leave that for you to find out Very exciting, the Chess team characters are well developed and the action is non stop Can t wait to read the next one.

    15. The Chess Team are in Vietnam searching for a cure to a disease that could wipe out humanity as we know it Along their way they discover a frightening ancient civilization and a lot of consequences Worth the read if you are following the harrowing adventures of Robinson s Dream Team.

    17. Instinct, as mentioned in other reviews, is the second Chess Team Adventure, or Jack Sigler, novel All in all, I have been fairly impressed with the Chess Team Adventures They are always quick paced and action oriented More often than not I finish the book without even realizing how much time has passed The prose is fluid, and the characters are wonderful and distinct Instinct follows the Chess Team and a CDC scientist as they transverse the treacherous jungles of Vietnam in search for a cure th [...]

    18. I forgot how much I enjoy Jeremy Robinson s books Book moves at a pace that keeps things interesting at all times It was easy to suspend disbelief with a good book like this Good stuff, Maynard

    19. Instinct is book two in the Chess Team series by Jeremy Robinson And it was a book I read in a weekend because I found it nearly impossible to put down The action and suspense keep the pages flying by The story takes turn after turn as the team struggles with a mission that could alter the course of human evolution forever. An assassination attempt is made on the President of the United States But its not the sort of attempt that a Secret Service Agent can throw himself on top of This plot is vir [...]

    20. The blurb on the cover of this books say, If you like your thrillers original and unpredictable Unfortunately, neither one of those descriptions can cover this book I tried really liking this book, but it felt incredibly derivative and presents nothing new to the thriller genre Everything felt lifted from other top notch thriller writers like James Rollins, Douglas Preston, Lincoln Child, and even worse, from many movies In fact, the story liberally steals from an Arnold Schwarzennegger movie an [...]

    21. Well, Robinson did it again The plot is truly thick unpredictable Instinct is the 2nd book of Jeremy Robinson from his Chess Team Adventure Series After reading Pulse the 1st book , i was looking forward picking Instinct but was surprised the plot didn t follow suit the cliffhanger in the first book Hence, i put this on hold until yesterday Reading Instinct, it still has the fast paced appeal and action packed scenes I expect The dynamics of the lead chars is pronounced And as usual, the plot h [...]

    22. Now it s personal a deadly virus originated in Vietnam by whom has hit Deep Blue, and the Chess Team is out with a bloody vengeance to find out who is responsible and how to stop this deadly disease by any and every means necessary The team has AWESOME technological weapons at their disposal, yet it s not only their physical strength that empowers them, their mental strength and tight bond as comrades see them through horrific and unbelievable tight spots I love this book for MANY reasons the st [...]

    23. Originally read 29 10 2011 The second in the Chess team thrillers, this one is set in Vietnam, with the team trying to track down the cure to a lethal virus that kills everyone it strikes I really enjoyed it and am coming to love the dynamics of the team and the banter between them I was a bit annoyed about the unveiling of Deep Blue s identity not that we know, but who it was a bit unrealistic to think that someone of his calibre would have the time to spend helping the team as he did in the fi [...]

    24. There is no doubt that Instinct is an improvement in many ways over Mr Robinson s first novel in the Chess Team Adventure series, but that is not to say it is perfect While the science and the events occurring are somewhat believable, there are still times when he goes too far, and I simply cannot accept even the remotest chance that many could come to pass. However, the story is fast paced, and for the most part enjoyable The character development is good, and there is a true sense that you car [...]

    25. Instinct by Jeremy Robinson is a military style adventure novel featuring his famous Chess Team The team is off to a small mountain village in Vietnam to find a cure for a virus that kills in a moment and mostly attacks men The team is also up by two members, Pawn 1 and Pawn 2 They get dropped into the middle of a firefight between two warring factions They find the village, it looks like everyone is dead As they get separated from each other we are introduced to a wonder land inside the mountai [...]

    26. Instinct left me to become a new fan of Robinson s Chess Team I m looking forward to reading the next installment as well as the previous one The synopsis presents the idea of a virus gone berserk that carries a gene for a fatal disease If you are a science geek, you might be slightly disappointed as the author barely touches on the subject, not unlike novels by Crichton and Brown, where there are several paragraphs and chapters chock full of scientific explanations and their implications on the [...]

    27. Instinct by Jeremy RobinsonThis is the first of the Chess Team books I have read A weaponized virus threatens the world The Chess Team is sent in to discover a cure This Chess Team is substantially different than the one you had in high school Monsters, mental illness, mysteries and politics characterize the story. To say this was a rousing adventure is to truly understate the velocity that surrounds this story Fast paced action threatens to overwhelm you page to page I felt the characters needed [...]
